Blue After The Red

There was green before Red, Red before blue.
Green was green, Red was not.
Green was cool, red was hot.
Blue is blue, but green is missed.

Red was tragic, it turned the sky gray.
Took all the colour away.

I see blue now, a watercolour blue.
I can see it's waves from my window view.
I do miss the green, I hope it will grow anew.
Until then I will watch the blue blue.

My father says he planted yellow,
Said it will take time for them to grow.
But yellow alone will not do,
He planted purple smells too.

So blue came after the red,
Not an end but a friend.
It's nice but I still miss the green,
There in memory, there unseen.
